I moved to California from Washington state around the age of 19 and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. As the youngest of seven children, family has played an active and critical role in my life.

My husband, David, and I enjoy traveling, and my family makes it a priority to travel together as much as possible. Although it’s tough to get us all in the same place at once, we have traveled to places such as Europe, Thailand and Japan.

Spending time outdoors is a pastime that I truly enjoy, and boating is one way we often incorporate the outdoors into our lives. We’ll frequently get a houseboat and go fishing. This time together results in many great memories that I am grateful to have.

When I’m not outdoors, I enjoy volunteering with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Pets of the Homeless, and at our local food bank.
